AGMA VMC-2210P Vertical Machining Center
Offer Details
Product Description

AGMA hardened-way machines are designed for rigidity and heavy-duty cutting. The machine structures are exclusively made to absorb and dampen cutting-induced vibrations; yet the machine's agility is better than most linear-way type machines on the market.
In order to support our customers' needs, AGMA has built a support network specifically in special material cutting applications. This allows us to offer our clientele the best solution to their applications. Customer satisfaction is always AGMA's first priority.
Product Features
An Extremely Rigid Structure
All three axes have a hardened boxway design, and the spindle headstock, column, saddle, base and table are all made of high quality Meehanite cast iron.
The spindle headstock has increased rigidity due to the wide stance design and the long surface contact between the headstock and Z-axis way bars.
The Very Wide Base
The Honeycombed Column Structure
A High Speed Pulley Driven Spindle
An enhanced headstock design allows the spindles to run up to 10,000 RPM. All spindles and pulley assemblies are dynamically balanced and a non-slip timing belt ensures the spindle will run smoothly, even at maximum speed. The spindle nose is built to receive the very popular BT-40 tooling. A spindle chiller system maintains a comfortable bearing temperature, and an air blast is automatically activated as the spindle is unclamped to receice a tool.
Traditional Hand Scraped Turcite Lining
To ensure consistent high quality, each slide way is hand-scraped. All axis saddles are lined with the hand scraped Turcite material and a Z shaped pattern is cut where each slideway resides to efficiently distribute the lubrication oil. An excellent distribution of oil is achieved to all axes, so that settling time after rapid movements is eliminated, and stick-slip during cutting is minimized. The lubrication oil is automatically distributed around the machine to both slideways and ballscrews, the rate of which is controlled by CNC settings.
Pre-Tensioned High Precision Ballscrews
Lasor and Ballbar Calibration
Automatic Tool Changer and Magazine
The double gripper swing arm tool changer driven by electric motor through a cam type mechanism which is bathed in lubrication oil. Literally millions of tool changes can be performed accurately and efficiently almost maintenance free during years of service. The tool magazine has 32 BT-40 type tool pockets and will determine the quickest direction of rotate to the selected tool.
Fanuc 18i-MB Control System
The part program storage length is 160 metres
The Electrical System
All electrical components are in compliance with all safety rules and regulations. All components inside the cabinets are clearly labeled and identified for ease of troubleshooting. All servo drive components are exclusively of Fanuc origin and the latest technology. The electrical cabinet is fitted with a heat exchanger to regulate the inside temperature.
Standard Accessories
Fully Enclosed Guarding with Fluorescent Work Lights
The working environment of the machine is fully enclosed, at the top as well as the sides to contain metal chips and coolant, even when high pressure coolant is employed. Two very large sliding doors enable the operator to easily access this work space to service tools or change a workpiece. All splash guard doors are fully interlocked to protect the operator. The work lights are located on the underside of the roof at the right and left hand sides of the splash guard, providing a well-lit working environment. The work lights are protected by toughened glass tubes.
Rear of Table Chip Auger Screw
Bed Chip Auger Screws
External Lift-up Conveyor
Flood Coolant System
Machine Status Beacon
A three colour indicator light is used to display the current machine status.
Levelling Equipment and Tool Box
One set of levelling bolts and pads are supplied with each machine together with a basic set of tools in a tool box.
Auto Power Off Function
If the auto power off function is activated the machine will automatically shut down to conserve electricity when the work is complete.
Rigid Tapping Function
During rigid tapping the axis travel will decelerate as the spindle comes to a stop at the bottom of the hole, and accellerate as the spindle starts to rotate again, thus enabling rigid tooling to be utilized instead of expensive floating type tapping heads.
Other Standard Accessories
RS-232 Interface, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Remote Manual Pulse Generator, CE Conformity Certificate.
