Machine Bed
The bed of the machine consists of a one piece Meehanite FC-30 casting, heat treated to relieve inherent stresses and hardened to HS-700.
Slideways and Propulsion System
The slideways are precision ground and automatically lubricated and high precision auto lubricated ballscrews are employed on the X an Z axes.
Standard Headstock
The standard headstock has a manual four stage gearbox with oil bath lubrication and 20 hp Yaskawa spindle inverter. The heavy duty spindle has a three point bearing support system which is also bathed in headstock oil. This standard spindle has an 104 mm bore and a D1-11 or A1-11 spindle nose.
Standard Tailstock
The standard tailstock is manually operated.
Standard Control and Drive System
The standard control is the Fagor 8055 with 11 inch liquid crystal display, full keypad and AC digital drive system.
